Way-too-early betting odds for Florida’s opening game vs Utah, per Tipico

Take a look at Tipico’s opening odds for Florida’s season-opener.

Florida football’s season opener against the Utah Utes is still over three months away but that did not dissuade the Tipico Sportsbook from releasing its early odds for this coming season’s opening games. Among those with betting lines set so far are the Gators, whose September 3 opponent poses quite a challenge to open not just the schedule, but the Billy Napier era.

Florida will be playing at home against the projected top-25 visitors while sitting outside of the rankings to start the season. Despite Utah’s superior status among the poll voters currently, the Gators are expected to keep things very close that night in the Swamp. However, the bookmakers are slightly bearish on the Orange and Blue heading into June.

The Tipico Sportsbook favors the Utes by 1.5-points over the Gators while the total points are set at -120 and -105, respectively.

Team Spread Money Line Total Points
Utah -1.5
-110
N/A -120
Florida +1.5
-114
N/A -105

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT on September 3 in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, Florida. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, livestreamed on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators IMG Sports Network.
