Best photos of Logan Lee’s Iowa Hawkeyes career entering 2022

Defensive lineman Logan Lee enters 2022 as one of the Hawkeyes’ key cogs up front defensively. Here’s his best photos with Iowa thus far.

Redshirt junior defensive lineman Logan Lee is expected to be one of Iowa’s most important players up front defensively.

After starting all 14 games last season, it was no surprise to see the Orion, Ill., product atop the depth chart at the right defensive tackle position in the spring depth chart reveal. Lee finished the 2021 season with 48 total tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.

The 6-foot-5, 277 pound defensive lineman showcased his versatility on special teams against Minnesota, blocking the Golden Gophers’ 53-yard field goal try at the start of the fourth quarter to preserve Iowa’s 17-16 lead at the time. The Hawkeyes would go on to win that game against Minnesota, 27-22.

Following a redshirt season in 2019 and then only appearing in a pair of contests in 2020, Lee proved that he was ready for a starting workload last year. The expectation is for Lee and fellow defensive tackle Noah Shannon to be difference-makers on the interior of the Hawkeyes’ defensive line in 2022.

Lee was one of the Hawkeyes’ most productive defensive linemen in 2021 and he will be counted upon to continue his upward trajectory. Here’s a look at his best photos with the Hawkeyes thus far.
