The hype around the youngest quarterback of the Manning clan is continuing to skyrocket.
The No. 1 player and quarterback of the 2023 class, Arch Manning, the nephew of Eli and Peyton, is widely regarded as one of the best recruits in the country. So much so that in ESPN’s rankings of the top 25 recruits regardless of class (exclusive content), Manning topped them all.
Here is what they said about Manning who many believe Texas has a great chance of landing.
Believe the hype. As expected, given his family history — he’s Peyton and Eli’s nephew — Arch has an advanced understanding of how to play the position. He also has great arm strength and accuracy. Manning totaled more than 2,000 passing yards and threw 26 touchdown passes with just four interceptions in 10 games in 2021. He also rushed for 365 yards and scored eight times on the ground. A polished pocket passer, he’s clearly the most mobile out of all the Manning’s and is blessed with the same poise. Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and LSU appear to have the inside track, as Manning has visits lined up for all five this summer.
The article also provided player comparisons, and Manning’s comparison was former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
Due to the commitment of four-star Eli Holstein to Alabama, many are confident that Texas will be able to outlast Georgia in the Manning sweepstakes.
