Tennessee will kick off its 2022 season against Ball State on Sept. 1 at Neyland Stadium.
SEC Network will televise the season-opening matchup being played on a Thursday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT.
Tennessee announced two additional kickoff times for 2022 contests on Thursday.
The Vols will play at Pittsburgh on Sept. 10. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. EDT from Heinz Field. ABC will televise the second Johnny Majors Classic.
Tennessee will host Akron on Sept. 17 at Neyland Stadium. The nonconference matchup will kick off at 7 p.m. EDT. The contest will feature a digital-only broadcast on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
2022 is Josh Heupel’s second season as the Vols’ head coach. He guided Tennessee to a 7-6 record in 2021.
