Colin Cowherd says he loves Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, a statement surely familiar to Bengals fans.
Cowherd, speaking on “The Herd,” threw out the common Andrew Luck comparison while talking about Burrow was able to accomplish last year.
“You know you’re really great when you go into a losing culture and Year 2, you’re in the Super Bowl,” Cowherd said. “Does everybody understand? Like as good as Kyler Murray is, he got them into the playoffs, and then that’s it. You know how good you have to be to go into a place that doesn’t win, and win immediately? It’s very Andrew Luck…what Joe Burrow did last year, it’s without a lot of precedent. There’s not a lot of examples of what Joe Burrow did last year.”
The comments stem from what Burrow said a week ago about his team’s Super Bowl run. That same interview had Rich Eisen gushing over the Bengals and all their primetime games this year.
So not only is Burrow a hit on the field, he’s winning over most of the big-name personalities in the media space with his candid interviews — and this doesn’t even touch on his very revealing recent podcast appearance.
