Florida football’s 2022 campaign is still a few months away but the schedule continues to slowly fall into place as the summer months creep in. The biggest game every year for the Gators, regardless of where they sit in the standings, is the annual rivalry matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs, historically held on neutral ground in Jacksonville.
The details for UF-UGA at TIAA Bank Field on October 29 this coming season were released and it looks like the game will be featured in a prime broadcasting slot, with kickoff coming at 3:30 p.m. EDT and broadcast on CBS Sports. As always, the game will also be available on the radio waves via ESPN 98.1FM/850AM WRUF as well.
The matchup between the cross-border foes will be the 100th time the two schools have met on the collegiate gridiron, with the first meeting dating way back to 1915. Georgia has won four of the last five meetings and holds the edge in the all-time series with a 53-44-2 record. However, Florida dominated the series from 1990 to 2010, going 18-3 over that stretch.
