So Peacock is working on a live-action Twisted Metal TV series, and another big star is on board.
Deadline reports that Nev Campbell, best known for her lead role in the Scream series, is joining the cast of Twisted Metal. She’ll be playing Raven, a character introduced in Twisted Metal: Black back in 2001. It’s hard to believe that game is 20 years old now, but it’s still the fan-favorite. Other actors attached to the show include Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, and Thomas Haden Church.
Twisted Metal will be a half-hour action-comedy about vehicular combat in the post-apocalypse. Shocking, I know, but there’s not been an entry in the video game series since 2012’s soft reboot on PS3, so a refresher is in order. However, Sony might be working on another one right now.

Aside from Campbell’s work on Scream, the actress currently stars in The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. She also played LeAnn Harvey in House of Cards. As a massive horror fan, she’ll always be Sidney Prescott to me.
It’ll likely be ages before we see anything of substance from this show since it hasn’t begun filming yet, but the cast looks solid. Hopefully, with the success of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, we’ll see more solid video game adaptations.
