The No. 8 Notre Dame baseball team dropped two of three games at Miami this weekend to close the regular season 33-13 overall and 16-11 in conference play. The 16-11 mark was second best behind Louisville in the Atlantic Division and was good enough to earn the Irish the fourth overall seed in this week’s ACC baseball tournament which will again be played at Truist Field in Charlotte.
Notre Dame will be joined in their pool by fifth-seeded Virginia and ninth-seeded Florida State. The Irish are scheduled to take on Florida State on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET and Virginia at 11 a.m. ET. Whichever team has the best record of the three following pool play will advance to the semifinals on Saturday.
Notre Dame did not play against Virginia this regular season but did have a series sweep at Florida State back in early March.
