Vikings full preseason schedule finalized

The first three games for the Vikings are set

The preseason schedule is set for the Minnesota Vikings heading into the 2022 NFL season.

An update from the team’s official website now lists the opponents, dates and times of the preseason games. The festivities kick-start with a road trip to “The Death Star” to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.

It will be the first game for the Vikings at Allegiant Stadium to face a Raiders team that just added arguably the best receiver in the league, Davante Adams, in free agency via trade with the Green Bay Packers.

The second matchup on the itinerary will be a home game against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s the same 49ers team than ran up and down the field on the Vikings in Week 12 last season with running back Elijah Mitchell. Granted, they could be preparing to start Trey Lance at quarterback over Jimmy Garoppolo, depending on how things shake out in training camp.

And last but not least, a trip to Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos will finish things out. The Vikings faced the Broncos in the preseason last year as well in a game where they were handed an ugly 33-6 loss. They opted to sit all of their starters in that game, while Denver played some of their stars with limited snaps.

The big splash signing for the Broncos over free agency was pulling off a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks to land Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson.

Here’s the preseason schedule in it’s entirety. You can see the full regular season schedule here.
