Arkansas welcomes Princeton, Oregon, Wichita State to Bogle Park

Arkansas’ NCAA Tournament begins from Fayetteville on Friday when the Razorbacks host Princeton.

Arkansas could stay at home until the College World Series.

The Razorbacks were named the No. 4 overall seed for the 2022 NCAA Softball Tournament on Sunday. When regional play begins Friday from Bogle Park, Arkansas will first tackle Princeton, the Ivy League winners.

It’s the second straight season the Razorbacks have played at home in the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas won the regional last year before falling to Arizona in the Super Regional. The No. 4 seed this season is the largest in program history.

“It was really exciting,” coach Courtney Deifel said “It’s always nice to come into a night like tonight when you know your name is going to be on there, and you’re just kind of wondering where it’s going to land. Having a four next to Arkansas was really, really exciting.”

Arkansas (44-9) will also host the Oregon and Wichita State, the second and third seeds in the regional. First pitch against the Tigers is at 5 p.m. Friday and the game can be seen on SEC Network. The Razorbacks are 24-4 at home this season.
