No. 1 Tennessee hosted No. 22 Georgia Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The contest was the series finale between Tennessee and Georgia.
Ahead of the Southeastern Conference East division matchup, former Vol pitcher Greg McMichael threw out the first pitch.
McMichael played at Tennessee from 1986-88. He played in Major League Baseball from 1993-2000.
McMichael was a pitcher for Atlanta from 1993-96 and in 2000. He was on the Braves’ 1995 World Series championship team.
The former Vol pitched for the Mets (1997-98), Dodgers (1998) and Athletics (1999).
McMichael recorded a 31-29 career record, totaling 459 strikeouts and a 3.25 ERA.
