No. 1 Tennessee (45-6, 22-4 SEC) hosted No. 22 Georgia (32-18, 13-13 SEC) Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Tennessee entered the contest as Southeastern Conference regular season champions. The Vols clinched a regular season conference title following a win in game No. 2 against Georgia.
On Saturday against the Bulldogs, redshirt junior pitcher Ben Joyce made his first career start during his career at Tennessee.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Joyce pitched four innings against the Bulldogs. Joyce recorded six strikeouts, while surrendering three runs, three hits and two walks. He faced 17 batters, totaling 67 pitches with 43 strikes.
