Sixers guard Danny Green diagnosed with torn ACL from Game 6 injury

Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green has suffered a torn ACL from the Game 6 injury against the Miami Heat.

The Philadelphia 76ers lost veteran guard Danny Green to a knee injury in the first quarter of their Game 6 loss to the Miami Heat and it has tuned out to be much worse than he expected.

Green spoke on Friday that he believed he just tore some ligaments on the outside of his knee and that he would be fine. However, the MRI has now revealed that he actually has a torn ACL which is a big blow to a guy who will be turning 35-years old in June.

With that being said, Green was never a guy who relied on athleticism or speed to be productive. He will likely miss the 2022-23 season, but he can return in 2023 and continue to be an effective player out on the floor.

The Sixers will miss Green. He is so important to what they do and it was obvious they missed him in Game 6 against the Heat. Now, they will have to find a new replacement for him as they move forward.
