5 observations about Raiders 2022 schedule

5 key observations about how the Raiders schedule plays out this season.

Even though we’ve known for months now who and where the Raiders would be playing this season, there are still some things that matter when the actual order of those games is revealed.

You can see the full schedule right here.

Here are five things of note.

1. Three early starts

Three games for the Raiders have a 10am Pacific time start — Week three at Tennessee, Week eight at New Orleans, and Week nine at Jacksonville. Yes, that means they will have two straight trips to the Eastern time zone.

2. One cold weather game

The Raiders get off easy here, with just one December game in a cold weather city. They head to Pittsburgh in week 16. Though you may be able to count their game in Denver on November 20th as a cold weather game as well.

3. One short week

Just one true short week on the season. It’s when they play on Thursday Night Football against the Rams in Week 14. And at least they won’t have to go far for the game.

4. Week six bye

Most teams would prefer a bye week later in the season. The Raiders bye week happens in week six. They will face the Texans in week seven coming out of the bye.

5. Three consecutive primetime games

Four total primetime games for the Raiders, with three of them coming in consecutive weeks later in the season. Those games are against the Chiefs (Week 5), Rams (Wk 14), Patriots (Wk 15, and Steelers (Wk 16).
