The schedule is out for all NFL clubs. Which means, among other things, we know how many games the Raiders will play in prime time.
Prime time matchups are usually an indication of how competitive each team is expected to be. In that regard, the Raiders having three games in front of a national TV audience speaks well of them.
The three games are as follows:
Week 5, Oct 10 — AT Kansas City on Monday Night Football
The NFL loves when the Raiders go to Arrowhead, and the rest of the wild AFC West is going to be vying to overthrow the champs this season.
Week 14, Dec 8 — AT LA Rams on Thursday Night Football
For the second time this season, the Raiders will come to LA. The first being the season opener against the Chargers, the second to face the reigning World Champion Rams.
Week 15, Dec 18 — vs New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football
With the Raiders hiring Josh McDaniels as head coach and Dave Ziegler as GM, the storylines will be set for Bill Belichick’s trip to face his longtime OC in his new home.
Week 16, Dec 24 — AT Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Eve
The day after the 50th anniversary of the infamous Emaculate Reception. Yeah, that’s gonna get tiresome.
