In its place? A new, redesigned version that looks pretty sleek.
It’s also a reminder that the hardware handed out to the NBA champion every year is supposed to look like a ball going through a net, which is how basketball is scored. And in the redesign — done by Tiffany and Co. — it’s sleeker and makes it more certain there’s a net that the ball at the top is going through.
