The Arizona Cardinals will make one long international trip during the 2022 NFL season. Because it is considered one of their home games, it is an extra trip to an outside stadium that most other teams don’t have to make. They will take on the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City in November.
That trip adds to the miles they will travel, but according to Bill Speros, the Cardinals will only have the 11th-most travel miles in the upcoming season.
They will travel a total of 19,616 miles, covering 20 time zones.
The reason why they don’t have to travel so much is because they will travel one state away for three of their game.
They will only have two games in the Eastern time zone. They have one in the Central time zone. The rest are in the West, plus one game in Mexico.
One of the Cardinals’ NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, will travel the most in 2022, logging 29,446 total miles.
