The NFL calendar seems to be non-stop at this point in time. Shortly after the Super Bowl comes the Shrine Game, Senior Bowl and NFL combine. Then free agency opens up with a flurry before the NFL draft, which just finished up last weekend, concludes a majority of the player moves.
A few veterans are likely to be added to teams now that the compensatory pick formula no longer plays a part but most big names are off the market.
Now teams move into more offseason activities with schedules announced for rookie minicamps, OTAs and mandatory minicamps. The Cleveland Browns schedule is as follows:
- Rookie Minicamp: May 13-15
- OTAs: May 24-26, May 31-June 2, June 6-9
- Mandatory Minicamp: June 14-16
We will have to wait for official dates for training camp, where fans may get more access to the team as COVID restrictions may be eased.
With their first pick not coming until the third round, excitement over the team’s rookie class may be a bit diminished but a few interesting undrafted free agents could boost intrigue. One of which hasn’t played football since his freshman year of high school.
