The JxmyHighroller channel has since generated millions of dollars in revenue. You’d think Mr. Anderson would have used its success as a way to get famous, but he’s mostly stayed out of frame. Anderson used to do the occasional camera-facing Q&A on his channel, but has since stuck to video narrations. When we spoke, he told me it was the only interview he’d ever conducted with an outlet, outside of a podcast he did with a friend as a one-off. “I think it’s just kind of who I am,” he explained of his fame avoidance. “End of the day, I don’t really feel like I’m important; I feel like I’m good at what I do.”
