Justyn Ross will get his shot in the NFL

Justyn Ross’ wait ends as he signs with an NFL team

It was a long wait for former Clemson wide receiver Justyn Ross, who finally signed an undrafted free agent deal.

Ross will be going to one of the best situations possible as he lands with Patrick Mahomes and a wide receiver needy group in the Kansas City Chiefs. Of all the teams that could have taken a chance on Ross, the Chiefs were one of the ideal options you could place him.

Back in 2018, Ross was one of the most highly productive wide receivers in college football as a freshman. He led the ACC in receiving yards that season while averaging 21.7 yards per catch, ranking 5th nationally.

When it comes to talent, there’s no denying Ross is capable of being one of the best to do it. It’s the injury history that ultimately led to him going undrafted.

He has a congenital fusion in his spine that caused him to miss a whole year and threatened his ability ever to play the game again. After returning last season, his season ended early with a stress fracture in his left foot.

The spine was the clear issue for NFL teams as he fell off of draft boards completely. That doesn’t matter now however as Ross looks like he will get his chance.

Ross finished his career at Clemson, appearing in 39 games where he caught 158 passes for 2,379 yards and 20 touchdowns. He is one of the most productive receivers to come through Clemson.
