The UNC football program now has three players on the offensive side of the ball drafted here in the 2022 NFL draft.
After Joshua Ezeudu went to the New York Giants on day 2, the Tar Heels saw Sam Howell go to the Washington Commanders to start the fifth round. And now another Tar Heel is off the board.
Running back Ty Chandler was selected by the Minnesota Vikings at No. 169 overall and the 26th pick in the fifth round.
Chandler spent one season at North Carolina after transferring from Tennessee. In that one year, Chandler racked up 1,092 yards om the ground and 13 rushing touchdowns while also catching 15 passes for 216 yards and 1 touchdown.
He joins a Minnesota backfield that is led by Dalvin Cook.
