Oklahoma’s Nik Bonitto selected No. 64 overall to the Denver Broncos

Oklahoma Sooners’ edge rusher Nik Bonitto was selected No. 64 overall by the Denver Broncos.

The Oklahoma Sooners finally heard one of their draft prospects’ names called at the back end of the second round as [autotag]Nik Bonitto[/autotag] goes to the Denver Broncos with the 64th overall pick. That just so happens to be the same spot where Creed Humphrey went off the board in the 2021 NFL draft to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bonitto was one of college football’s best pass rushers over the last few years and will take his lightning-fast first step to Denver to add to a pass rush that already includes Bradley Chubb. Chubb has 20.5 sacks in his career but didn’t record a sack in his seven games in 2021.

Going into his rookie season with the Denver Broncos, Nik Bonitto has a chance to be an impact player. He’s as adept at playing the run as he is at rushing the passer and that will get him on the field early in his career.
