2022 NFL draft: Jets trade up, take Breece Hall with No. 36 pick

The Jets used the 36th pick in the 2022 NFL draft on RB Breece Hall.

The Jets moved up two spots in the second round on Friday, sending the 38th and 146th picks to the Giants for the 36th pick.

Gang Green then used the 36th pick on RB Breece Hall. Hall, an Iowa State product, will give the Jets a young, two-headed monster in the backfield alongside Michael Carter.

Hall was a do-it-all back in college, totaling 56 touchdowns for the Cyclones. Fourty-one of those scores came on the ground over the last two seasons. Hall also ran for over 1,400 yards in each of his final two collegiate campaigns.

With Hall and Carter leading the way, the Jets’ running back rotation now looks set. New York also re-signed veteran Tevin Coleman this offseason, and Ty Johnson, Austin Walter and La’Mical Perine remain on the roster — for now.
