The best 24 prospects available after Round 1 of the 2022 NFL draft

Here are some of the best players available — with a mind for who might be on the board at 54th overall.

The New England Patriots had an eventful first day of the draft. They traded back from 21st overall to 29th overall — and picked up draft picks in the third and fourth rounds from the Kansas City Chiefs.

At 29th, the Patriots made their pick: Chattanooga guard Cole Strange. That shocked … just about everyone. Fans and media members were stunned. Even the Los Angeles Rams brass, Les Snead and Sean McVay, interrupted their press conference to indicate just how surprised they were to see Strange go off the board.

So perhaps New England is up for a few more stunners on Day 2. They’ll pick at 54th, 85th and 94th. But with 11 picks in this year’s draft, anything is possible. So let’s dive into the best players available.
