In the minutes before the 2022 NFL draft officially began, the league held a moment of silence in Las Vegas in remembrance of former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Haskins was killed on April 9 of this year when he was hit by a dump truck in Florida while he tried to cross an interstate on foot. Haskins was in Florida working out with fellow Steelers teammates.

Pittsburgh signed Haskins before the start of the 2021 NFL season and figured to be in the mix for the Steelers starting quarterback job in 2022.
