Colts’ Stephon Gilmore contract details revealed

Here are the contract details for Colts CB Stephon Gilmore.

The Indianapolis Colts signed cornerback Stephon Gilmore to a two-year contract last week and now we have the details of how the deal breaks down, per Over the Cap.

Gilmore essentially signed a two-year deal worth $20 million with $14 million guaranteed. He received $9.51 guaranteed at signing, which was comprised of a $4 million signing bonus and his 2022 base salary ($5.51 million).

Gilmore is also set to receive a $240,000 roster bonus for the 2022 season and has $510,000 in per-game active bonuses ($30,000 per game) and eight undisclosed incentives that are likely to be earned. Gilmore will carry a salary-cap hit of $7.75 million in 2022.

In 2023, Gilmore has a $1 million roster bonus and $1.02 million in per-game active bonuses ($60,000 per game). His base salary is $7.96 million while his salary-cap hit will be $11.98 million.

Should the Colts want to move on from Gilmore after the 2022 season, they have a potential out. Releasing or trading him would save them $9.98 million while incurring a dead-cap hit of $2 million.
