Atlanta United (3 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw) hosts FC Cincinnati (2-4-0) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Atlanta United vs. FC Cincinnati odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.
Atlanta United has won 2 of its last 4 and is coming off a 1-0 loss to Charlotte after defeating D.C. United 1-0.
United is led in scoring by F Josef Martínez, who has 2 goals on the season. Martinez was dubbed a Top10n Golden Boot candidate at the beginning of the season. Atlanta is 2-0-1, having yet to lose at home this season.
As for FC Cincinnati, it is led by F Brandon Vazquez, who has 5 of the team’s 7 goals.
Vazquez is in a 3-way tie for the most goals in the MLS. FCC is 1-2-0 on the road this season and is coming off a rough 4-3 home loss to Montreal at home. FCC sits 11th on the Eastern Conference table.

Prediction
Atlanta United 2, FC Cincinnati 1
Money line (ML)
LEAN to ATLANTA UNITED (-145).
United, which has scored 9 and given up 9 through 7 games, is at least competent on both sides of the ball.
As for Cincinnati, not only is FCC not competent defensively, but it has allowed 8 goals in 3 road games. Overall, FC Cincinnati has allowed 14 goals in 6 games, the third most in the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta has yet to lose at home, including recent 3-1 and 2-1 victories. Considering FCC’s struggles on the road and United’s strength at home – it was 9-3-5 at home last season – I expect United to come out on top.
At this price point, it’s just a lean.
Over/Under (O/U)
BET the OVER 2.5 (-135).
This is easily the best bet in the game, and it largely has to do with how poor FCC’s defense has been.
With United and its opponent having combined for more than 2.5 goals in 4 of its 6 games, I fully expect United to score a couple on FCC. FCC is also 4-2 O/U this season.
FC Cincinnati has allowed 8 road goals in 3 games, and it will be taking on Martinez, one of the most dynamic forwards in the MLS.
FCC’s expected goals and opponents’ expected goals have been at least at 2.9 in each of its games this season. Against an elite offense, I expect FCC to come up short more often than not.
So far this season, for both teams, the Over has been a profitable wager.
