Who Titans fans are picking in PFF’s mock draft simulator

One of the top-two choices by Titans fans is no doubt a surprise.

Pro Football Focus recently did a mock draft using the top fan picks from its mock draft simulator, and one of the top-two choices of Tennessee Titans fans is very surprising.

According to PFF’s Sam Monson, the 2022 NFL draft prospect Titans fans are taking most is Boston College guard, Zion Johnson, who is a personal favorite of mine.

He’s a perfect scheme fit and could contribute right away. Adding to that, we all know how much head coach Mike Vrabel likes players he’s familiar with, and Johnson checks that box as a former teammate and roommate of Tyler Vrabel.

The player taken second-most by Titans fans in the mock draft simulator was EDGE Jermaine Johnson (12.7%) — and that’s who the Titans ended up with in this particular mock, as the other Johnson was already off the board.

Tennessee is doing pretty well in the edge rusher department at the moment, with Bud Dupree, Harold Landry and Rashad Weaver all in-house, so taking an edge rusher doesn’t feel like an early-round option.

However, like cowbell, Titans fans apparently believe the team needs more.

This could also partly be a result of fans picking several different receivers who could be there at No. 26, thus spreading the percentage for any given wideout thin enough to fall to third or worse.

Unfortunately, PFF didn’t list the full breakdown of who was chosen most after these two prospects so the world may never know.

Even taking that into account, these results are still pretty surprising given all of the attention on Tennessee’s wide receivers and offensive line this offseason. But, hey, at least it wasn’t Nakobe Dean.
