There aren’t many families more closely tied to the game of football at any level than the Matthews family. In total 8 Matthews’ over three generations of Matthews’ have played at the NFL level, including hall of famer Bruce, and pro bowlers Clay Matthews III, and Jake Matthews.  Jake, like his brothers, Mike and Kevin attended Texas A&M and played for the Aggie football program.

The youngest brother Luke, a former four-star recruit who joined the Aggies in 2018, missed all of the 2020 season and virtually the entire 2021 season due to injuries, and has now been forced to retire from the game of football due to injuries.
