The University of Nebraska is preparing for the installation of new field following the spring game on April 9th. Late last month, during his regularly scheduled radio appearance, Athletic Director Trev Alberts went into detail on the new look of Memorial Stadium come this fall. The Huskers will be dropping the two-toned green field seen in recent years for a single shade of green. Other details shared during the radio hit was that the shade of green would be darker than most Cornhusker fans are used to over the year. The endzones will remain the same, with the north endzone reading Huskers, while the south endzone will be decorated with Nebraska. The traditional N at midfield will remain the same as in previous incarnations. Albert’s confessed that he didn’t mind the program returning to a more boring look after having experimented with minor tweaks to various program designs over the year.
