PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers are still in the midst of trying to really get into a rhythm before the playoffs begin and Saturday was a good step forward when they knocked off the Charlotte Hornets in blowout fashion 144-114 to put a halt to a 3-game losing skid.
The big catalyst of the win was in the third quarter when the Sixers turned a 5-point game at halftime into a lead as large as 29. Philadelphia outscored the Hornets 45-27 in the third and they knocked down seven triples as they broke the game open.
James Harden had seven points and six assists in the third and he knocked down two triples, Joel Embiid scored 10 points in the third, and Tyrese Maxey added 11. Even Matisse Thybulle hit two triples in the third to help the Sixers earn a blowout win.
