The time has come for the first action of the 2022 college football season as spring practices and scrimmages will soon be underway for the Colorado Buffaloes. The first of Colorado’s 15 spring practices is set for Wednesday in what will begin an important month for the program. The Buffs’ practice/scrimmage on April 9 and their spring showcase on April 23 will both be open to the public.
Head coach Karl Dorrell is entering his third season with the Buffs and will have his work cut out for him in trying to point CU in the right direction after a 4-8 finish in 2021. This will be a crucial spring for Colorado as it had numerous key players either graduate or enter the transfer portal this offseason, and the competition for roster spots will be intense at multiple positions.
Important Spring Football dates for the #CUBuffs:
Wed., March 30: 1st practice
Tues., April 5: 1st day in full pads
Sat., April 9 and Sat., April 23: Full pad scrimmages at Folsom Field open to the public; April 23 is the annual Spring Showcase.
