Just hours after the Raiders had reportedly added DT Vernon Butler, the team officially announced the addition of DT Kyle Peko. The two add depth and competition to a full remade interior rotation for the Raiders.
Peko entered the league in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State. From there he stuck around with the Broncos for three seasons, bouncing back and forth between the active roster and the practice squad.
The 6-1, 305-pounder was cut midway through the 2019 season and signed with the Bills. The Broncos brought him back in the 2020 offseason, but he opted out of the 2020 season and was later cut.
Peko spent last season with the Titans, where he appeared in eight games with three starts and put up the first and second sacks of his career.
The Raiders’ rebuilt defensive inteior line currently consists of Bilal Nichols, Andrew Billings, Kendal Vickers, PJ Johnson, Peko, and Butler.
