The Cleveland Browns made their trade for Deshaun Watson official on Sunday, with the team’s owners, Jimmy Haslem, and Dee Haslem, releasing a statement on the move and why the team felt comfortable adding a man who has multiple accusations of sexual misconduct levied against him.
Watson has 22 civil lawsuits filed against him that are accusing him of sexual misconduct or assault, all stemming from massage sessions.
Watson sat out all of last season and could still be suspended by the NFL.
The statement from the Haslems was basically just a whole lot of words without saying anything. It was corporate, bland, and insulting.
