Kevin O’Connor: Jokic doesn’t want to do media. I have pitched so many great story ideas about Jokic to Nuggets PR over the years. I got him one-on-one back in 2019 and it was one of my favorite interviews I’ve ever done. He was amazing, just like he is with anyone any time a mic is in his face. But for feature stories? Full features about why he’s the MVP? Jokic says no. He doesn’t want the attention. And so, in a media that is so fueled by access my hunch is that networks aren’t featuring him because of a lack of access. And I find that to be a shame because you don’t need access to tell a great story about a player on an all-time great trajectory.
