Tom Brady reverses course on NFL retirement decision

The GOAT is coming back!

Don’t call it a comeback — actually, no, call it exactly that.

Former Michigan football quarterback, NFL GOAT, and perennial Super Bowl-winner Tom Brady had announced in January that he was hanging up his cleats, not quite going out on top after a playoff loss, but still playing at just about the highest level possible.

It turns out, with a little reflection, Brady isn’t exactly ready for his next era to begin. So, he’s going to stick with what he knows: playing football.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday evening, Brady announced that he’s decided not to retire, and that he will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this upcoming season. It’s a stunning course reversal if there ever was one.

With Brady returning, that should propel the Bucs back to the playoff, and certainly change their plans in the upcoming NFL draft — even if it is only for one year.
