Broncos have 4th-best Super Bowl odds after Russell Wilson trade

After the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI in February, Tipico Sportsbook gave the Denver Broncos +2000 odds to win next year’s Super Bowl, tied for ninth-best in the NFL.

Denver’s odds likely would have been much lower if not for rumors of Aaron Rodgers potentially joining the team this offseason. Rodgers announced Tuesday that he won’t be joining the Broncos, opting to remain with the Green Bay Packers instead.

That turned out to be no problem for Denver, as the team traded three players and multiple draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for quarterback Russell Wilson. Landing Wilson puts the Broncos back in contention in the AFC — and it improved their Super Bowl odds.

Denver now has +1200 odds to win Super Bowl LVII, tied for fourth-best in the NFL, according to Tipico Sportsbook. Only the Buffalo Bills (+700), Kansas City Chiefs (+750), Los Angeles Rams (+1000) and Green Bay Packers (+1000) have better odds than the Broncos to win it all.

Denver paid a big price to acquire Wilson, but as the Rams demonstrated last season, sometimes going all in can pay off.
