“I feel like I’m a part of the ownership group,” Wade said. “I don’t know, ownership group sounds better to me. When I say owner, even Ryan, we talked about that word, we talked about the NBA and everything moving to chairman. We’re just in this world now where things are being brought to our attention and we have to look at it and how it makes people feel and what that word probably means. Even when it comes to the players, I’m in this space, I’m a minority owner, in a sense. That’s what they call me. I don’t want the players being like ‘Oh, he’s our owner now.’ I’m a part of the ownership group and I’m a small part of a big puzzle. And that’s going to be to have whatever experience and knowledge that I have and to be able to learn along the way.”
