N64 cult classic Glover is re-releasing this April

This spring, the gloves are coming off.

Glover, one of the N64’s many 3D platformers, is coming back on PC this spring.

On Monday, Piko Interactive announced that an HD port of Glover will release on April 20, 2022, for PC via Steam. Glover’s store page is up here for anyone looking to relive memories of that game you probably never bothered renting from the local video store.

Piko Interactive claims that this re-release took Glover’s original code from the N64 version and redid the entire backend to work on modern PCs. Any computer built within the past two decades shouldn’t have much trouble running this, as it’s (obviously) not a modern PC release that’ll make your desktop sweat.

Check out Glover’s release date trailer below. Far as we can tell, this is Glover’s first announcement trailer ever — over 20 years one from its N64 launch.

Glover originally came out on the N64 on Oct. 26, 1998, and (apparently) became a cult classic in the years since. It’s certainly not on Banjo-Kazooie or The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in terms of notoriety, but we’ll take all the N64 ports that we can get.
