The Boston Celtics might have a lot more help on the wing against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday afternoon with news that star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been elevated to questionable for the team’s tilt with the Nets.
Brown, who hurt his ankle early in Boston’s 128 – 107 home victory over the Atlanta Hawks this past Sunday, could play if his sprain heals enough for the Georgia native to feel comfortable playing on it against such high-level competition. He will not be joined in action in such a scenario by fellow wing Aaron Nesmith however, as the South Carolina product — also suffering from an ankle sprain — has officially been ruled out for the Brooklyn game.
Still, even if both sit this weekend, the pair might be back in action soon given Nesmith and Brown both appear to have dodged more serious injuries just as Boston has several gaps in play that can be made use of for recovery.
A dinged-up Nets have fallen to the East’s eighth-place slot due to injury and availability issues – but that trend could end soon. https://t.co/SLq9r9Js3T
