Titans’ Mike Vrabel reacts to Jon Robinson getting emotional at combine

“It means a lot to everybody; it means a lot to players, our staff, organization, our coaches,” Vrabel said of bringing a Super Bowl to Nashville.

Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson endeared himself to fans even more this week after getting emotional when reflecting on the team and how he can improve for 2022.

When speaking to the media down at the 2022 NFL Combine, Robinson was asked about how he can be better from last year, and during his answer he had to fight back tears.

“That’s what keeps me up at night,” Robinson replied when asked about what he can do better before pausing to fight back tears. “The trust that ownership has put in me, our fans, and… I mean, that stadium is rocking now. And you can only imagine what it would have been like the next week. So, pretty long list of stuff that I’ve got to be better at.”

In an interview with “Good Morning Football,” host Peter Schrager asked Titans head coach Mike Vrabel about Robinson’s reaction.

He had this to say:

“My reactions are always the same; Jon and I have a great relationship, we have a fantastic owner that allows us to do our job and she trusts us to do our job,” Vrabel said. “We have a responsibility — a huge responsibility — to bring a championship to Tennessee. It means a lot to everybody; it means a lot to players, our staff, organization, our coaches, so that’s what we’re trying to build and we’ll get back to work on it now.”

While the Titans did fall short in 2021, Vrabel and Robinson have done a fantastic job overall since joining forces in Nashville, and that was never more apparent than when the Titans flourished despite dealing with a ridiculous amount of injuries all season long.

The proof is in the pudding that they are the right head coach and general manager combo to bring a Super Bowl to Nashville — and Robinson’s reaction this week only cements that further.
