The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to put together their roster as they steam towards the playoffs over these final 21 games. They already have their new superstar duo in the form of James Harden and Joel Embiid, but they now need to make moves around the margins.
One name that has been popping up recently has been DeAndre Jordan who was waived recently by the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran big man out of Texas A&M would fill a role in Philadelphia backing up Embiid after the Sixers had to move Andre Drummond in the Harden deal.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jordan is expected to sign with the Sixers barring an unlikely waiver claim before the 5 p.m. EST deadline on Thursday.
Barring an unlikely waiver claim before the 5 PM ET deadline today, center DeAndre Jordan is expected to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN. Lakers waived Jordan on Tuesday and Sixers have an open roster spot and desire to add another backup center.

Jordan is clearly not the same player he once was, but at the same time, he is a veteran who can throw down some lobs. He also has experience playing for coach Doc Rivers while with the Los Angeles Clippers where he was named to the All-NBA First Team.
