The Florida swing continues with the popular and star-studded 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational from Bay Hill, teeing off Thursday in Orlando at the resort that Arnold built. Rich in tradition, as well as some of the biggest names in golf who have gone on to win here, below, we’ll look for the best value prop bets in the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational odds, with placings and matchups among PGA Tour picks and predictions.
Defending champ Bryson DeChambeau will not be around to defend his 2021 title – his return is on hold as he continues to heal and recover from injuries to his left hip and left wrist. He is ranked 14th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.
That leaves 2018 champion Rory McIlroy as one of the favorites and a player who has played extremely well at Bay Hill over the past decade, including five consecutive top-10 finishes.
Hideki Matsuyama, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Marc Leishman, Jason Kokrak and a host of others are expected to compete for the title.
We also like Chris Kirk, who settled for a T7 at last week’s Honda Classic. It was his best showing in 10 months, piggybacking a T14 at TPC Scottsdale. Since 2016, Kirk is 4-for-5 at Bay Hill with a T8 (2021) among four top 15’s.

Rory McIlroy (+140)
He’s 7-for-7 making the cut at Bay Hill with a win (2018) among five straight top 10’s. To start off his 2022 season, he has a T12 and 3rd on the European Tour and a T10 two weeks ago at Riviera. He is 15th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.
Viktor Hovland (+220)
The 24-year-old is 3-for-3 at Bay Hill but with no better than a T40 in his debut in 2019. We expect a Bay Hill best this week.
Will Zalatoris (+300)
A positive COVID-19 test scratched out Zalatoris’ chances at Pebble Beach, but he bounced back nicely for a T26 at Riviera. Tops on TOUR in SG: Don’t forget his T10 in last year’s debut at Bay Hill.
Hideki Matsuyama (+280)
While nothing is ever easy, the current FedEx Cup points leader is perfect in nine starts this season and is also 7-for-7 with a trio of top 25’s at Bay Hill, including a T18 last year. His profile is the model for what works best here.
