As the Brooklyn Nets get set to return home and host the Toronto Raptors on Monday night looking to build off a very good win in Milwaukee, they found out shortly before tipoff that they would be without their head coach.
Steve Nash will be unavailable against the Raptors on Monday as he will enter the league’s health and safety protocols. In his place, the Nets will turn to Jacque Vaughn to coach in his place. Considering Brooklyn will obviously be missing Kyrie Irving in this game, it is tough to see them also have to miss their head coach in a situation where it’s almost a must-win at this point.
Nets say coach Steve Nash will not coach tonight’s game vs. Toronto due to health and safety protocols. Assistant coach Jacque Vaughn will assume head coaching duties.

The good thing for the Nets is that Vaughn does have head coaching experience with both Brooklyn and the Orlando Magic. He also will continue to use Nash’s schemes so the players won’t have to make too many adjustments. They will just have to hear a different voice.
