DeMar DeRozan has a pretty great case for MVP with this wild stat

DeRozan should really be getting more love

The MVP conversation has pretty much revolved around one of either Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid or Giannis Antetokounmpo over the last couple months — especially since Steph Curry’s shooting has slowed down.

But DeMar DeRozan is making a pretty great case for the trophy with his play lately.

If it feels like he’s scored a billion points in February, don’t worry. You’re not tripping. It’s because he has. Well, not literally. But you get the point. He’s scored a lot of points.

After his big 37-point game against the Hawks on Thursday, he notched his eighth straight game with at least 35 points which is pretty incredible on its own.

But what makes it even more incredible is that only six other players in NBA history have ever scored this much — and they’re all Hall of Famers, per ESPN’s Stats and Info.

Mike, Kobe, LeBron, Wilt. That’s some pretty incredible company for anyone to be in. And a pretty great case for some hardware at the end of the season.
