The Bill Belichick Foundation announced on Wednesday that it distributed $385,000 to student-athletes across the country.
Announced by Bill Belichick and foundation president Linda Holliday, the donations are going to help rebuild sports programs across the United States, as many programs are still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The foundation awarded 13 scholarships.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, the recipients must be a senior in high school or a freshman, sophomore or junior in college. They must play at least one sport and hold a GPA of 3.0 or better. The foundation awarded 32 programs a $10,000 grant.

The foundation was established in 2013 in honor of Belichick’s father, Steve Belichick.
