St. Louis Blues at Philadelphia Flyers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s St. Louis Blues at Philadelphia Flyers odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The St. Louis Blues (29-14-6) travel to face the Philadelphia Flyers (15-25-10) Tuesday at Wells Fargo Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we look at the Blues vs. Flyers odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.

The Flyers enter the game on the back end of a back-to-back, while the Blues have been off since upsetting the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 on the road Saturday.

St. Louis shook off a couple of disappointing losses to the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils to upend the Leafs. A Blues player from all four lines scored in the game as they showcased their offense against a quality team.

The Flyers fell 4-3 in overtime to the Carolina Hurricanes Monday. Philly scratched and clawed to get back into the game after C Zack MacEwen‘s third-period fight rallied the troops. The Flyers tied it at 3-3 shortly after to force OT, but ultimately succumbed to the Hurricanes’ pressure.

Blues at Flyers projected goalies

Jordan Binnington (11-10-3, 3.35 GAA, .898 SV%, 1 SO) vs. Martin Jones (6-9-3, 3.59 GAA, .897 SV%)

It has been a strange, rough season for Binnington, who is now clearly behind G Ville Husso on the depth chart. This is a soft landing spot for him after allowing 18 goals in his last three starts. Look for him to come out focused to make a statement.

G Carter Hart (eye) was out Monday due to an eye infection, and Jones did what he could against Carolina as he turned away 27 of 31 shots. If Hart is unable to go again tonight, Jones could be in for another barrage. Jones has allowed 22 goals in his last six appearances.

Blues at Flyers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Blues 5, Flyers 3

Money line

The Blues (-230) are too expensive for my blood in this road game. Let’s look to the puck line for a much better value. PASS

Against the spread

The BLUES -1.5 (+110) are flying high after netting 6 goals on Maple Leafs All-Star tendy Jack Campbell. All six of their wins in the last 10 games have been by 2 or more goals.

St. Louis is also expected to have star winger Vladimir Tarasenko back tonight after he missed one game with an undisclosed injury.  The Blues are rested and should fly out of the chute against a possibly flat Flyers team that played Monday.

Over/Under

OVER 6.5 (+112) is the way to go here. The Blues are 6-0 in their last six games on two days’ rest, and the Over is 4-1-1 in those slates.
