Many experts believe Texas has been in good standing with Manning for quite some time now. Despite the 5-7 season and the addition of former five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers, Texas is still one of the front runners to land Manning.
The timetable for Manning’s commitment remains unclear, but it seems he is narrowing his focus on a couple of college football bluebloods.
A report from ESPN’s Brent Bearid stated the Manning sweepstakes was down to two schools, Texas and Alabama.
