Elden Ring’s minimum system requirements on PC are steep

That’s a lot of RAM.

Perhaps no platform will showcase Elden Ring’s beauty like the PC, but it’ll take a beefy graphics card if the minimum system requirements are any indication.

In a slightly strange move, FromSoftware briefly shared Elden Ring’s minimum system requirements before quickly taking them down, PC Gamer reported Friday. Luckily for us (and perhaps unfortunately for FromSoftware), nothing disappears once it’s on the internet! So let’s take a look.

Elden Ring minimum requirements

  • OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 1060, 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580, 4GB
  • DirectX: version 12
  • Storage: 60GB available space

That 12GB of RAM is particularly startling. Even graphical powerhouses like Dying Light 2 Stay Human only require 8GB of RAM by comparison. It’s funny that FromSoftware was intimidated by the Demon’s Souls remake‘s technical prowess when it seems like Elden Ring will be one of the most demanding games in years.

Hard to say if these are the final system specifications, though. After all, FromSoftware probably took the information down for a good reason. Elden Ring is the most wishlisted game on Steam, so the developers surely knew fans would notice that update fast.
