Michigan State football has officially hired Marco Coleman as its new defensive line coach and run game coordinator.
The Spartans announced the hiring on Wednesday, but the news of Coleman joining the staff had been reported last week. He will replace former longtime assistant Ron Burton in coaching the defensive line.
Coleman played his college ball at Georgia Tech before having a 14-year NFL career. Following his playing career, Coleman served as the assistant defensive line coach with the Oakland Raiders in 2018, and has spent the past three seasons at Georgia Tech as the outside linebackers and defensive ends coach.
